According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in August, the power generation was 845 billion kwh, with a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, and the growth rate slowed by 2.5% compared to July. The daily average power generation was 27.26 billion kwh. From January to August, the power generation was 5866.3 billion kwh, with a year-on-year increase of 3.6%.
Regarding different types of power, in August, the growth rate of thermal power and wind power decreased after the previous increase, while the growth rate of nuclear and solar power increased, and the growth rate of hydropower increased after the previous decrease. Among them, on a year-on-year basis, thermal power decreased by 2.2%, with an increase of 7.2% in July; Hydropower increased by 18.5%, with a decrease of 17.5% in July; Nuclear power increased by 5.5%, 2.6% faster than that of July; Wind power decreased by 11.5%, with a growth of 25.0% in July; Solar power increased by 13.9%, 7.5% faster than that of July.
